HYPNOTHERAPY

Hypnotherapy is guided hypnosis, or a trance-like state of focus and concentration achieved with the help of a  hypnotherapist.

This trance-like state is similar to being completely absorbed in a book, movie, music, or even one’s own thoughts or meditations. In this state, clients can turn their attention completely inward to find and utilize the natural resources deep within themselves that can help them make changes or regain control in certain areas of their life.

This form of therapy utilizes one’s mind to help reduce or alleviate a variety of issues, such as psychological distress, phobias, and unhealthy, destructive, or dangerous habits (i.e. smoking and/or drinking).

The aim of hypnotherapy is to create a positive change in an individual, while he/she is in a state of unconsciousness.

Unlike some dramatic portrayals of hypnosis in movies, books, or on stage, you will not be unconscious, asleep, or in any way out of control of yourself. You will hear my suggestions, but it is up to you to decide whether or not to act on them.

Although there are different techniques, hypnotherapy is generally performed in a calm environment. I will guide you into a relaxed, focused state and ask you to think about experiences and situations in positive ways that can help you change the way you think and behave.

Hypnotherapy is used to treat a wide range of conditions, issues, and unwanted/unhealthy behaviors, such as:

  • Phobias
  • Addiction
  • Relationship/Family/Work Conflicts
  • Sleep Disorders
  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
  • Cessation of smoking
  • Grief and Loss of a Loved One
  • Weight Loss
  • Past life release and work
  • Childhood trauma
  • Pain Management
